Who Runs This Site?

My name is Deane.

I’ve been writing lyrics and composing music for over 15 years in a variety of styles. In that time, I have published multiple albums, singles, instrumental beats, and covers. I create and produce music under several different artist names, including:

All of my music has been written, recorded, mixed, produced, and distributed just by me at home (in my bedroom) with no need for expensive studio space or hyper-technical audio equipment. I even run my own independent record label (Wry Records) that I use to release all my tunes.

With the wide assortment of music composition/production skills I’ve learned over the last decade and a half, I figured that some of it could come in handy for other indie singer-songwriters…like you. So I created this website as a repository of song-making knowledge: tips, guides, DIY techniques, and hacks that you can implement when creating your own music at home.
